LATI-TUDE Travel

Passport & Visa Information

International travel requires proper documentation. Travelers are responsible for ensuring that their passport, visa, and other required travel documents are valid for their journey.

Because entry and health requirements can change, travelers should confirm current requirements before departure.

Passport Requirements

Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your date of entry into Tanzania and contain at least one unused visa page.

Travelers are responsible for ensuring that their passport meets these requirements before departure.

Need a U.S. passport?

Apply for or Renew a U.S. Passport

If you already have a passport, make sure it meets Tanzania's validity and blank-page requirements before booking your travel.

Tanzania Visa Requirements

Most international travelers require a visa to enter Tanzania.

U.S. passport holders traveling to Tanzania for tourism are required to apply for a Multiple Entry Visa, which may be issued with validity of up to one year.

LATI-TUDE Travel recommends applying for your Tanzania visa before departure rather than relying on visa-on-arrival processing.

Apply for Your Tanzania Visa

Use the official Tanzania Immigration electronic visa system:

Official Tanzania eVisa Application — Apply Online

A visa does not guarantee admission into Tanzania. Final entry is determined by Tanzanian immigration officials at the point of entry.

Tanzania Mainland & Zanzibar

If your selected LATI-TUDE Travel journey includes Zanzibar, your Tanzania visa covers travel to both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. A separate Zanzibar visa is not required.

Your specific journey itinerary will identify the destinations included in your selected experience.

Health & Vaccination Requirements

Health and vaccination requirements can depend on your travel history, nationality, and the countries through which you travel or transit.

A yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required depending on your travel history and qualifying travel through countries where yellow fever is present.

Travelers should consult their healthcare provider regarding recommended vaccinations, medications, and other health precautions for their individual circumstances.
